1. Who we are and how to contact us
Nutriply operates the Nutriply product and service for nutrition and health professionals. If you have privacy questions, support requests, or account and data deletion requests, you can contact us at support@getnutriply.com.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to the Nutriply iOS app, the getnutriply.com website, support communications, App Store subscriptions, and related services used to operate Nutriply.
It covers information you provide directly, information generated through use of the service, and certain technical data required to operate, secure, support, and improve Nutriply.
3. Intended users and professional use
Nutriply is designed for nutrition and health professionals, or authorized users working under professional supervision. By using Nutriply, you represent that you are a qualified professional or an authorized user under professional supervision.
Nutriply is a professional support tool. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, emergency care, or medical advice, it does not replace medical consultation or clinical judgment, and it must not be used as the sole basis for medical or clinical decisions.
4. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, account identifiers, credentials, and authentication-related information needed to create and manage access.
- Contact and support data: messages, bug reports, privacy requests, and information you share when contacting support.
- Subscription data: subscription status, plan details, and identifiers or receipts needed to validate access. Purchases, billing, and payment processing are handled by Apple.
- Patient data entered by professional users: information that you choose to enter into the app to organize records, patients, consultations, follow-up, and reports.
- Health and nutrition-related data used in the product workflow: allergies, dietary restrictions, preferences, clinical or nutrition notes, anthropometry, ISAK protocols, body composition, measurements, weight, height, age, sex when applicable, menus, goals, follow-up, and related calculations.
- AI context data: information that you submit, select, or make available when using AI-assisted features to generate suggestions, summaries, drafts, auxiliary calculations, or menu support.
- Technical and usage data: device type, operating system, app version, technical logs, security events, crashes, and information needed for stability, support, and service protection.
- Website data: limited browser and visit data such as IP addresses, request headers, visited pages, referrers, and logs needed to operate and secure getnutriply.com.
5. Sensitive data and professional-user responsibility
Some information processed in Nutriply may be considered sensitive or high-risk, including health, nutrition, anthropometry, body composition, allergies, restrictions, clinical notes, and patient data entered by professional users.
Professional users are responsible for making sure they have the necessary authorization, consent, or other legal basis to collect, enter, organize, and use their patients’ data in Nutriply, and for using the service in a way that matches their professional and legal obligations.
6. How we use data
- Create and manage accounts, authenticate users, and control access based on plan or subscription status.
- Operate the app, store and organize records, patients, consultations, menus, notes, follow-up, and reports.
- Generate nutrition, anthropometric, and body-composition calculations, and support menu creation, adjustment, and follow-up.
- Display progress, charts, tables, reports, and other outputs derived from professional use of the product.
- Provide AI-assisted features inside the service.
- Process subscriptions, validate access, respond to requests, and deliver support.
- Improve security, stability, performance, monitoring, incident response, and the overall product experience.
- Comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse, fraud, or unauthorized use.
7. AI-assisted features
Some Nutriply features may process contextual information provided or selected by the user to generate responses, suggestions, summaries, drafts, auxiliary calculations, or support for menu creation and adjustment.
Before information reaches AI-assisted features, Nutriply applies an anonymization process designed to avoid sending sensitive patient identifiers as direct context to that layer.
AI-generated outputs must be reviewed by the professional before they are used with patients or as final content. AI does not replace clinical judgment, individualized assessment, or professional responsibility.
To operate these features, Nutriply may rely on trusted infrastructure and technical service providers used to enable AI-assisted experiences. That operation remains subject to reasonable protection measures, human review, and controls aligned with the professional use of the product.
8. Sharing information and service providers
Nutriply does not sell personal data. We may share information with service providers and technical partners that help us operate the app, website, and related services for the purposes described in this policy.
- Apple, for in-app purchases, subscriptions, App Store-related validation, and payment flows managed by Apple.
- Infrastructure, hosting, storage, authentication, database, monitoring, technical support, security, analytics, and crash-reporting providers needed to operate the service.
- Technical providers used to enable AI-assisted features.
- Authorities, advisors, or other parties when disclosure is required by valid law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or service integrity.
9. Apple subscriptions and billing
Purchases and subscriptions for Nutriply are processed through Apple and the App Store. Nutriply does not store full payment card details.
Subscription cancellation must be managed through your Apple account settings or the applicable App Store tools.
Deleting a Nutriply account does not automatically cancel an active Apple subscription. If you have an ongoing subscription, you must also cancel it with Apple when appropriate.
10. Retention
We keep information while an account is active or as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, provide support, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, investigate incidents, maintain security, or protect our systems.
Backups, technical logs, and security records may remain for additional limited periods when reasonably necessary for recovery, audit, continuity, or service protection.
11. Account and data deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support@getnutriply.com. If Nutriply offers an in-app account deletion tool, you should also be able to start that process from inside the app; if you do not see that option, contact us by email.
We may retain limited information when necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, protect the service, validate transactions, or preserve backups for a reasonable period.
If you are a professional user who entered patient data into Nutriply, you may also be responsible for handling requests related to those patients under the laws and professional rules that apply to your practice.
12. User rights and privacy requests
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or cancellation, objection, withdrawal of consent, restriction of processing, or additional information about how your data is handled.
To exercise these rights or ask privacy questions, contact us at support@getnutriply.com. We may request reasonable information to verify identity and better understand the request.
13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including access controls, protections in transit where applicable, monitoring, and service-security practices designed to support stability and integrity.
No platform is 100% secure. You are also responsible for protecting your credentials, devices, and authorized account access.
14. Children and minors
Nutriply is not directed to children as a primary audience. If a professional user records information related to minors or patients, that professional is responsible for obtaining the required authorization and meeting the legal and professional obligations that apply.
15. International processing
Depending on the infrastructure and technical providers used to operate Nutriply, some information may be processed or stored outside the user’s country.
By using the service, you understand that information may be transferred to or processed in other jurisdictions, subject to the reasonable safeguards and agreements used to operate the product.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the product, operations, service providers, legal requirements, or internal practices.
The current version will always be the one published on this page with its last-updated date. When changes are material, we may provide notice in the app, on the website, or through other reasonable means.
17. Contact
